The trial version of HD Tach measures the sequential read speed (at various points on the device), the random access speed, interface burst speed and CPU utilization of the drive. The registered version adds sequential write testing.
BTW if you like to be able to run this software with Windows Vista. On the HDTach icon click on properties and then set compatibility mode to Windows 2000.
Note:
If you have problems downloading HdTach 3.0,
please try to stop using your download manager
and avoid right clicking on files. Also, check
your firewall settings, because some mirrors may
require that you do not block the HTTP
referrers.
